Up To 5 Miles And Climbing

Photobucket

I cannot believe I did it!! I ran 5.2 miles yesterday and only slowed down for a quick drink once. WOOHOO! I am now convinced it really is mind over matter and you just have to dig your heals in and do it! It did take me about 50 min to do the 5miles so my next goal is to get my time down. I only have 3 more months til the 15k and of course the Disney Half Marathon in January so gotta get a movin'.

WOW!! Good for you! My boss is in to running and she's doing the marathons these days....she's ran them in Memphis, New Orleans, and Nashville. I've never been a runner. However, I was a walker and I walked every day up until I had Alise, but it's been downhill ever since! That's what kids will do to you!:)

Oh. my. goodness. Meredith. Good for you, girl!! I don't think I've run that far cumulatively in the last two years... yeah, sad. I could bike to South America but I couldn't run if you were chasing me with a torch. :(

You ROCK! Half marathon, here you come. Keep up the awesome work!!

Meredith,

You go girl! I am so proud and envious of you! No running for me anymore after an injury, but I miss it SOOOO, and I always wanted to do a REAL run of some kind, a 5k would have suited me :). Keep up the good work!
