Fay Is Moving Out!

Fay,  Fay is going  away!  FINALLY!  Five days of rain and three boys stuck in a house don't make a good mix!  The boys started school on Monday,  had Tuesday off,  went back for Wednesday and Thursday and had Friday off due to a tropical storm.  Mind you it never became a hurricane.  I have been joking around about how I've been wishing for a couple of hurricanes to pass through and dump much needed rain in my lake.  Sad thing is,  Fay never became a hurricane and brought more rain than some parts of Florida could handle and to top it all off it didn't make a dent in our lake!  Hurricane season has just begun and I'm done..... done ... done.

First Day Of School

Summer came to an end for the boys on Monday as it was time to get back into the groove of school.  Funny thing is there was no school Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Fay so the kids all got an extra day of sleeping in.  Luke has to be in class by 8:30 and Andrew has to be in his class by 9:00, halfway across town,  so needless to say Monday mornings are going to be CRAZY!  Andrew takes classes on Mondays and is home schooled the rest of the week.  This will be a BIG change for all of us but so far so good! Check back in a few weeks....... I may be pulling my hair out by then. :-0

Luke Turns 6

Luke (aka Superman) turned 6 last week.  It seems like yesterday when I was rocking this sweet bundle of joy in my arms.  On each of our boys birthday they get to choose where we will go to eat.  This year Luke insisted we go to Friendly's to eat so we can get ice cream afterwards.  All I could think was UGH...... above all places to eat and he chooses Friendly's!  I am not a big fan of this place as many of you know I am a health nut when it comes to food!  Nothing fried or greasy and that is pretty much all they have on their menu!  I will say I have tried their salads before but let's just say that was the first and last time.  Luke was flying high since he knew he would be diving into the biggest ice cream sundae that money would buy, this according to dad. In the end I survived the meal and shared a nice watermelon sherbert slice with Steve and Luke was happy.  Guess I'll be making that up this week in my runs some how!!!  Happy 6th Birthday my sweet Luke!
